Individual scenes or vignettes could, without insight, seem silly or trite; but the whole is a magnificent amalgamation of absurdism, caught between a delirium of unbridled happiness and a gaping hole of despair.
Button 5 exposes an extensive menu of settings and additional features including recording settings; data about your unit such as its serial number; all the DAISY editing functions you need to place bookmarks in a text; a calculator; a note recorder; and more. These menus are navigated in the same manner as a DAISY book, using the 4 and 6 keys to move backward or forward through the various choices.
To create a DAISY 3 DTB, click Tools->Export as DAISY on the menu or press Ctrl+E. Enter the book metadata to the best of your ability, and select DAISY 3, DAISY 2.02 or EPUB as the output format. You can also choose to compress the audio file to MP3 (the default), which is useful for saving disk space. Once the DTB is created, you can validate it by clicking Tools->DAISY 3 Validator on the menu or by pressing Ctrl+Alt+L. This will ensure that the DTB is correct and conforms to the DAISY standard. You can then use it with a DAISY player. The DTB will be stored in a subdirectory of your project directory, namely DAISY3 Export.
