Daisy Buck Repeater – America’s First and Favorite Starter BB Gun

The Daisy Buck repeater is America’s first and favorite starter BB gun, and with good reason. It’s lightweight, dependable, easy to use and the perfect choice for kids or adults on a budget looking for a fun way to shoot. Its short length allows small-framed shooters to shoulder the rifle comfortably, enabling those early gun instruction sessions to be far more effective.

Daisy has even gone as far as to create a ten lesson curriculum for shooting education that teachers can use in their phys ed classes (when schools were reasonable about including such things). Daisy also works with local law enforcement agencies on firearms training and safety issues.

Unlike some BB guns that require multiple cockings to load, the Daisy has a ratchet system built into the lever cocking mechanism. This prevents the unfortunate childhood rite of passage of having the lever slap your bare knuckles (that some nasty little kids used to perform). You’ll need to hit the lever 7 times through the cocking arc for it to be fully cocked and ready to fire.

For all of the new PS1000 air arms / Weihrauchs on the market, there’s still no replacement for a classic Daisy BB gun. It’s a lot of fun and you can tell just by the smiles on everyone’s faces at the range that they had a blast with it. The only complaint I have is that this year’s guns come in out of print packaging but other than that, I’d recommend them to anyone who’s on a tight budget looking for a good time.
