Daisy Jessica Edgar-Jones is an English actress who has become increasingly popular for her recurring roles in such television shows as Cold Feet, War of the Worlds, Outnumbered, and Silent Witness. She also made a name for herself as the lead character in the BBC series Normal People, which earned her several BAFTA and Golden Globe nominations. In addition to acting, Daisy is an avid photographer and frequently shares her stunning images on her Instagram account. She is a supporter of various charitable organizations and is an advocate for body positivity.
She was born on 24 May 1998 in the London borough of Islington to Scottish father Philip Edgar-Jones and Northern Irish mother Wendy. Her passion for performance took root at a young age, and she began to participate in school plays. She attended The Mount School and Woodhouse College before she joined the National Youth Theatre.
In 2018, she starred in the British independent coming-of-age drama film Pond Life as Cassie. The following year, she played April in Yard Theatre’s production of Albion, which was televised by the BBC. She has since had roles in the 2022 films Where the Crawdads Sing and the true crime miniseries Under the Banner of Heaven.
Aside from acting, Daisy has also done endorsement work and promoted various products through her social media accounts. She has partnered with a number of brands such as Vogue, tiffanyandco, oscardelarenta, gucci, and versace among others. She has been a vocal supporter of body positivity and often advocates for mental health awareness.
