Daisy has been one of the most beloved princesses in the Mario franchise since her first appearance in Super Mario Land. While she has not appeared in a canonical story game since that time, Nintendo has continued to feature her as a regular character in Mario sports and party games. She is often paired up with Princess Peach or Luigi, and hints have been given that she may even have a sister in Toadette. She is a fiery, energetic tomboy who can be feisty and tough, especially when defending her friends.
Daisy is usually depicted in a pink-and-white color scheme and wearing a white dress with two flower badges attached to the left side of her chest. Her hair is flipped upwards and reaches past her shoulders in length, while she has vivid blue eyes with orange eyebrows. She also has an enthusiastic personality, which is evident in her celebration animation after winning a tournament.
Despite her initial depiction as a stereotypical damsel-in-distress, Daisy quickly developed into a feisty tomboy who can be incredibly tough. She loves sports, such as tennis and golf, and is very competitive in her endeavors. She is strong, as evidenced by her ability to slap Bowser into the sky in Mario Tennis Aces. She is a shrewd businesswoman who knows how to make money, and she can be manipulative in her dealings with others. She is also a good friend to Peach, frequently being partnered up with her in spin-off games.
