Daisy Georgia Goodwin is an English screenwriter, novelist, and TV producer. She wrote the popular ITV/PBS series Victoria, which was sold to 146 countries. Goodwin is now working on a new series, “Taskmaster.”

Goodwin is also a great-granddaughter of Irish clergyman Robert Traill. Her television drama Victoria, adapted from her bestselling novel, featured Traill in the storyline. She published her first book in 2010 and has been busy with work and raising children. Goodwin is the author of several novels, some of which are more relevant to this article than others. Goodwin earned a degree in English Literature from Cambridge University. She also won the Harkness Fellowship and attended Columbia Film School. After graduating, she worked on Channel 4’s “Grand Designs.” She founded her own production company in 2005, which she sold to Sony in 2012. She published her first novel, “My Last Duchess,” in 2010, and has been working on it ever since. Goodwin has also written two screenplays for television shows and films.

The author of eight books, Goodwin has a varied background. Her career has taken her from the world of politics to a creative career. Goodwin worked as a producer on BBC’s Essential Poems, for which she won the Orange Prize for Women’s Fiction in 2010. She has been featured on a number of television programs, including “The People’s Theatre” on the BBC. Goodwin has appeared in a documentary about Westminster, “Public School,” and in a BBC2 special, “Only Connect” in 2011.
