Daisy Jazz Isobel Ridley age is a British actress who gained worldwide fame for her role as Rey in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. She has since gone on to act in a number of films, including Murder on the Orient Express and Peter Rabbit.
Daisy was born on 10 April 1992 in Westminster, London, and grew up in Maida Vale. She is the youngest daughter of Louise Fawkner-Corbett, a banker, and Chris Ridley, a photographer. Her parents have two other daughters, Kika Rose and Poppy Sophia.
She attended Tring Park School for the Performing Arts in Hertfordshire between the ages of nine and eighteen before studying classical civilisation at Birkbeck, University of London. She graduated in 2010 and began pursuing an acting career.
In 2014, she was cast in the lead role of Rey in the Star Wars film, The Force Awakens, which released in 2015. She has received a number of awards and accolades for her performance as Rey, including a BAFTA nomination.
Initially, she was struggling to make ends meet while acting on television and working as a bartender. But in 2013, she heard that Lucasfilm was casting for the new Star Wars film and was instantly compelled to give it a shot.
She first landed the role of Rey in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and immediately found her life completely transformed. From pouring drinks at a pub for minimum wage to wielding a lightsaber in a blockbuster, she is now one of the biggest celebrities in the world.
