We are all familiar with Daisy in the movie and book by Andy Crabb and we have all enjoyed the smile on her face as she wore her Daisy's t-shirt. She wore her Daisy's shirt during her many adventures in the book & it often brought a smile to my father when he would see me wearing one. We were so happy that she did not wear her t-shirts for long, even though they were so comfortable & easy to put on. She also chose polo shirts over her Daisy's shirts, so we could both look our best at the same time.
Daisy's quote about gatsby's shirts came to my mind while reading James Patterson’s novel “Gatsby”, about the beautiful golfer, Nicklaus. One of the scenes vividly described involved Nicklaus & Daisy walking down a country road. While walking along the path, Daisy kept asking Nicklaus how he could stand such good golf. His reply, “You know, Daisy, I just try.”
The quote above was from the end of the film “Gatsby”, where Nicklaus finally gave up his long, hard, and expensive career as a professional golfer & signed on with a tour company owned by his longtime friend, Sam Wigley, to open a golf academy. He felt that this would help him remain active as well as allow him to make some good money for himself. Daisy accompanied him everywhere. You see, she accompanied him everywhere. They had many a wonderful adventure together as the movie played out. I still love to think about what might have happened if they had chosen a different path, for their respective careers.
