Daisy song was written by British composer Harry Dacre in 1892. It was inspired by one of King Edward VII’s mistresses, Frances Evelyn “Daisy” Greville, Countess of Warwick. When Dacre first shopped the song around for a publisher he was having trouble finding anyone willing to take it on. Eventually, he asked Kate Lawrence to perform it at a music hall and she was a huge hit with her audience. She had so much success that Dacre finally found a publisher to take on the song.
Today, the song is still a popular song and can be heard in many different languages. It is a popular song to teach to young children because of its simple melodies and lyrics. It is a great way to teach your kids to follow a beat and how to sing in a harmony.
