One of the most notable car designs in the show is Daisy’s yellow doorless Jeep. The vehicle was initially intended to be a Plymouth Road Runner, but the writers decided not to include it. Later appearances in the series used a 1971 Plymouth Satellite. The first appearance of Daisy’s car ended in disaster when the accelerator stuck and the car crashed into a cliff. The first season featured a wide variety of cars, including a black Plymouth Road Runner and a white Ford Mustang. The show’s car alterations lasted two seasons, and the yellow Road Runner was the show’s most recognizable model. The title of the show is derived from the first car Daisy drove on the show. It was a 1974 Plymouth Road Runner, which had a black stripe on the roof and sides. The Road Runner eventually replaced Daisy’s first car, which crashed into a cliff in the episode “The Runaway”.
